My first week of this challenge consisted of something small - I rented & watched a movie from my Must Watch List!
It was a minor/little thing but it actually felt good to just lay down, relax and finally watch The Kids Are All Right (all by myself - since the hubby was working) instead of worrying about other things.
I put the Lil Divas to bed, took a shower and just relaxed for the evening! No computer, no phone, no housework - just me and my movie! It was wonderful!
I doubt I would have made time for this if it weren't for the challenge - I always find something else that I need to be doing at night rather than just relaxing. I was actually grateful that I felt like I needed to do something for the challenge so that I could write about it - it forced me to take a mommy time out!
I enjoyed the movie too. It wouldn't have made my top 10 list but I was still glad to have seen it! :)

ReplyDeleteHi there! Stopping by from the link- up. I love being able to watch a movie from the beginning until the end with no interruptions! That is the best! I hope you don't mind me following along. Take care, Andrea
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea! I have on occasion even gone to a movie theater all alone....but it's been a while!!
ReplyDeleteI luv your My Family post! Your daughters are adorable and your husband has my heart (as a Miami Dolphins Fan) My son is almost done with school to be a policeman. Yay for our Hero's and you sound like you like a little work along with raising your precious girls! I wish you and yours the best and Miami a great upcoming season lol Gladys
ReplyDeleteNice to see you took time out for yourself. That is how we can be there for everything else. Besides it is good for your health which is good for your family. I learned these things after it was too late. Now I have heart damage and a surgery in my future. Please continue to take time for just you!
