The Journey of the Noble Gnarble: Children's Book Review & Giveaway

I was recently sent a copy of the children's book The Journey of the Noble Gnarble written by Daniel Errico and beautifully illustrated by Tiffany Turrill.  It is the story of a young adventurous gnarble fish who dreams of swimming high enough see the sky.  No one believes he can do it, for it's never been done by a gnarble before but none of that stops him.

This noble gnarble has perseverance. When his tiny fins are tired, he keeps going.  Throughout his journey he comes face to face with some scary fish but even in the face of danger  he never gives up and it is because of that determination that he finally has his moment in the sun.

You can't help but root for this young gnarble as you read the story. The Lil Divas were engrossed in his tale. They worried when he came face to face with danger and rejoiced when he made it through, stronger, braver and more determined than before.

The illustrations in this book are captivating. The noble gnarble is adorable, the ocean is alive with color, sinister looking fish lurk at every bend and it all works wonderfully together to keep you reading, engrossed and invested in the story.

As a mom, I really like the message of this book - Never give up on your dreams. There may be obstacles in your way but it's important to work hard and fight for what you want. Dreams can come true if you work at it.
