The Sunday Showcase - Making the Most of Today With Our Children

In light of the tragedy that occurred yesterday at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Connecticut, I am sure all our hearts are feeling heavy today. I know that my thoughts and prayers are with those parents that will no longer get to hold their children tight. I do not pretend to even begin to know how they are feeling. As a mother, I simply know I would be utterly devastated by the loss of one of my girls.

So in the coming days, as we all hold those that suffered this devastating loss in our hearts, let us remember to take the time to embrace our children. To be present with them amidst the daily hustle and bustle of our lives. Let us be thankful for each precious moment we have with them.  This life is so fleeting. We have no guarantees for tomorrow so let's make the most of today.

In order to stay true to the reason I began this blog - my girls.  The Sunday Showcase will be taking a 2 week hiatus so that all the participating Mommy Bloggers can enjoy Christmas and the holiday break from school with our families. The linky will be back on 1/5/12*

We wish you and your loved ones a wonderful holiday & will see you back here in 2 weeks to share more of our child centered ideas with each other.

*I will also be taking a break from the blog from December 22nd thru December 29th to enjoy the holidays with my family.*

The Sunday Showcase

The Sunday Showcase is hosted on FIVE blogs!

Each blog showcases their own features (from the previous week's linky) so be sure to check them all out!

These are so easy to make and are a great way to spend time making something together as a family that will be wonderful to put on your Christmas tree year after year.
