Making a Difference in Our Communities (with State Farm Neighborhood Assist)

We all want our communities to be the best they can be. There are so many wonderful programs nationwide that are in dire need of funding. Early in my twenties I worked for a community based not-for-profit program. I saw firsthand how difficult it was to run these types of programs.  I know how tirelessly people work to provide much needed services to the community and how hard it is to keep them going. That's why I am excited to be sharing State Farm's Neighborhood Assist Program with you through a sponsored collaboration with Mom Central Consulting.

State Farm Neighborhood Assist is helping empower communities and the people who live in them by awarding $25,000 grants to 40 deserving community programs. Even more amazing to me - this program is run by State Farm's Youth Advisory Board. The Youth Advisory Board is made up of 30 students ages 17-20, from across the United States and Canada. There is something amazing about our youth taking the time to positively impact their communities.

So why am I taking the time to share this program with you here on the blog? Having worked for many years for a local, community based not-for-profit organization I know how much the programs need these types of grants to sustain themselves and continue offering their valuable services to their local communities.  State Farm Neighborhood Assist will be awarding grants to the 40 programs that YOU vote for! It's people like you (& me) that can and will make a huge difference for 40 well-deserving programs just by voting. I think this program deserves to be shared. The 40 community programs involved need our help. It's so easy to make a few simple clicks and impact well deserving communities.  Voting ends on April 22, 2013 and you can cast up to 10 votes each day. Think about the difference you can make in 40 communities and head on over to VOTE!

State Farm Neighborhood Assist has 200 programs throughout the USA and Canada vying for one of these 40 life changing $25,000 grants. I wish I could make them all winners!
